Discharge

A discharge on the debts in bankruptcy is our ultimate goal. If a debt is discharged in either a chapter 7 or a chapter 13 case then you no longer are liable to pay on it. The chapter 7 discharge happens pretty quickly...about 3 months. The chapter 13 discharge takes anywhere between 36 months at a minimum (unless all of your debts are paid before that in full) up to 60 months maximum. As noted elsewhere there are certain debts that are not discharged in bankruptcy and we will discuss that with you at your consult.
